Avoiding the comparison trap

You’re scrolling through social media, and it seems like every single person in the world has their life figured out…except you.

If you answered “yes,” congratulations! That means you’re human.

If you said “no,” well, you’re probably lying - or you don’t have social media.

Either way, the “comparison trap” is something that’s plagued humans since, well, probably the 2nd human.

The truth is, though, that we feel this way because we’re comparing our behind the scenes to everyone else’s highlight reel.

While our internal struggles and insecurities are ever-present, we’re looking through them into a highly curated (and edited, might I add) world that is far shinier than its actual reality.

Check out this video I made for you on staying out of the “comparison trap.”

Don’t get me wrong - of course people are living amazing lives! They’re working hard, they’re dedicated to their craft, they prioritize their mental and physical health, they build love with their partner - life can be incredible.

But, that doesn’t mean it’s perfect.

And, just because someone else achieves what you want doesn’t mean that they’ve taken it away from you.

In fact, it should only serve as inspiration that shows you it’s possible.

Let me know your thoughts in the video’s comments.
